Barry man who committed lewd acts must 'stay away from schools'

A BARRY man who admitted committing lewd acts around the town has been banned from loitering near any school for five years.
Simon Christopher Jones, aged 48, of Williams Crescent, Barry, was given a two-year community order with supervision and requirement to comply with a psychiatrist, and must register with the police for five years.
He admitted committing an act outraging public decency on four occasions (Cemetery Road, June 23, 2009; Irving Place, June 30, 2009; Walker Road, July 6, 2009; Gladstone Road, July 8, 2009).
He also admitted harassing a woman between July 1 and 6, 2009, by making lewd comments, standing outside her window, and knocking persistently at her door.
He also admitted intentionally touching a woman sexually when she did not consent, on July 8, 2009.
A sexual offences prevention order was made, and Jones must not:
* loiter in a public place in such a manner or for such a time as to cause any person harassment, alarm or distress;
* make intimidatory or sexualised gestures, action, movements or motions likely to cause any person harassment, alarm or distress;
* reside in any household with a child or young person under the age of 18 years;
* engage in any work, employment or other activity with a child or young person under the age of 18 years, either on a pofessional or voluntary basis;
* loiter within a radius of 100m in the area of educational establishments including nursery, infant, junior or secondary schools (for the purposes of the order, 'loitering' means walking, driving a vehicle or parking a vehicle in the vicimity of educational establishments for unecessary amounts of time.
* be under the influence of alcohol or any other illicit substances in a public place.
The order lasts for five years.
