CARDIFF City Community Foundation is offering Bluebirds fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

The charity has teamed up with Kenyan Adventure to offer supporters the chance to spend 10 days working with a range of community projects in a developing area of south-western Kenya.

From September 17 to 27, a group of Cardiff City supporters and ex-players will form the charity’s first-ever group trip to sub-Saharan Africa.

The aim is to give something back to the international community whilst enjoying a unique travel experience and representing Cardiff City overseas!

From football coaching and building work to teaching in schools and community work with children, there are a range of project roles to choose from.

And the trip will require dynamic, enthusiastic individuals to help the Cardiff City Community Foundation achieve its goal - to improve the lives of people less fortunate than us.

You do not need to be qualified in your chosen field – you will be provided with teaching/sports coaching resources prior to departure to support you.

The trip also aims to raise £20,000 for Cardiff City Community Foundation (registered charity number 1128443) – with the money enabling the charity to continue supporting projects and local people in the South Wales area.

Included in the trip is an incredible Rift Valley Adventure Day. This three-part adventure includes a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National safari park, a stop-off at the equator, and an adventure trail at Thomson Falls near Nyahururu. Each participant on the trip will be asked to raise approximately £2,000 in order to take part, of which £832 will go towards the Cardiff City Community Foundation.

The Foundation will also be holding a number of events to raise awareness of the trip and help people raise the required amount.

The official trip launch takes place at Cardiff City Stadium on March 1 at 7.30pm, where you can find out all the information you need to be part of this exciting opportunity! Also included in the launch event will be a behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium.

If you are interested in representing the Cardiff City Community Foundation during this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, contact Michael Hayward on 029 2064 3652 or email football4all@cardiffcityfc.co.uk
