Barry Town at home on Saturday

11:58am Friday 17th February 2012

BARRY Town face Haverfordwest County at Jenner Park on Saturday (February 18).

Haverfordwest were relegated from The Welsh Premier at the end of last season but are pushing for a top two spot which could see them promoted.

Earlier this season The Dragons made 2 trips on successive Saturdays to Haverfordwest, drawing 2-2 in a League encounter and winning a thrilling Welsh Cup 2-1 deep in extra time.

Manager, Gavin Chesterfield, will have virtually a full squad to choose from and the team will hope to build on the recent good form which sees them unbeaten in 6 League matches, including an impressive 3-1 win last time out at current League leaders, Cambrian & Clydach.

* Last Saturday's game at Taffs Well was called off 30 minutes before kick off as on one of the goal areas was considered dangerous.

The team have only played 3 games since December 10 and now face a backlog of games in March and April.

* Saturday, February 18, also sees a fund raiser for the Club when the Supporters Committee hold a race night at The King William IV pub (the Billy), Bridge Street, Barry. Tickets priced at £3 are available by contacting David Cole on 07557665847.
